I think I may have found a solution which I'm just testing now, there is a cog next to the drop downs for the dates and discussion filtering and inside it is a "Turn Notifications for Forum off": I'm just testing if my subscribed threads are notifying me rather than this button killing all my notifications from the forum. If it does, I can't select both Serra's and my own, but if Serra could modify her own post to include this if it works, then happy to close this.
