I had a similar problem installing XG firewall on a 32-bit Intel box. After installing the XG software, removing the install cd, and rebooting, it gives an error saying "This kernel requires an x86-64 CPU, but only detected an i686 CPU - please use a kernel appropriate for your CPU" From what I can tell though, there is no .iso installation file available for a 32-bit CPU. None of the documentation suggests that a 64-bit server is needed for this software.
