I first noticed this issue after installing Sophos Home on a desktop running Windows 8.1. Prior to installation, I had no issues. After installation and setup, if I open a browser (Firefox, Chrome, and IE), it works fine until close. Attempting to open any browser thereafter is fruitless. An alternate browser will sometimes open to the home page, but is obviously thwarted from attempting access to the Internet. In Task Manger, you can see the exe in an open state with high CPU usage, but you can't end the open state. I even tried using kill software, but the browser continues to hang. This Issue is resolved only by removing Sophos Home. I'm wondering (have not tested yet) whether it is related to the AV side or the firewall side of Sophos Home.
