Hi Jamin, when performing an update from SMC 4.0 to SMC 5 an LDAP Lookup is performed for every user you have within your Sophos Mobile Control installation. Therefore, you should make sure, that the LDAP server is reachable to successfully perform the lookup. If the LDAP server is not reachable the SMC setup will wait for 30 seconds (per user) and then run into a timeout. Therefore, it might be, that something went wrong during this step. As your system is not in an inconsistent state, I suggest you raise a support request to get your system into a status again to successfully update the server. Best regards Stefan
